Education for health and social care professionals

‘Learning Beyond Registration’ is an opportunity to progress your career and your CV by gaining university accredited qualifications.

Hot off the press is our new LBR prospectus for 2018-19. The application process is now open.

LBR modules are aimed at health and social care professionals, mental health workers, criminal justice, medics and third sector agency workers at Band 5 and above (or equivalent) whether newly qualified or having several years of experience.

Training is funded for NHS staff working within the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire). Staff working in private, voluntary, and independent sector organisations in the region may also be eligible for LBR funded training. NHS staff working within the East Midlands will need to have the support of their line manager in order to access the LBR funded places.

Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies for Psychosis (Level 4 study)

Our modules

A module can be studied as a stand-alone development opportunity or as part of a programme of study leading to one of the above awards.

How to apply

The applications for these modules are now open.
We suggest that you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Funding approval for mental health LBR modules has to compete with general health care LBR modules (general health care professionals, nurse midwives, physiotherapists etc.).

Please note that if you intend to study within the April 2018 – March 2019 period you will need to be submit your application before the closure deadline which is usually early May 2018, however please contact the University of Nottingham for up to date information regarding closure deadlines.
