Skills Based Workshop Series 2016/17

About the seminars

The series is focused on understanding a range of different mental health experiences, delivered by experts in the field.

These one-day seminars will be held at the Institute of Mental Health in Nottingham running until March 2017.

Cost:

£150 per workshop, per attendee (refreshments and lunch will be provided)
There are a limited number of funded places for Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust employed staff

Seminars:

  • Understanding and explaining Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Understanding personality disorder
  • Working with self-harm behaviour
  • Normalising experiences and voices, visions and paranoia
  • Peer Support: narratives and disclosure – how to share our experience in a safe way

Skills based workshops

The Institute runs an innovative programme of skills based workshops and have previously facilitated a number of topics including:

  • Promoting recovery
  • Working with groups
  • Assessment and formulation
  • Supervising through coaching
  • Self-help cognitive therapy
  • Family work and psychosis
  • Making sense of unusual experiences: paranoia, voices and visions
  • Supporting people with psychosis in primary care

We offer flexible delivery models for between eight and 20 participants. Our workshops are bespoke and can be tailored to your needs.
