'Shiny' new book promotes website analytics

The Institute of Mental Health's Dr Chris Beeley has published a book about a new programming environment called 'Shiny'. It is designed to show readers how to deliver analytics, graphics and statistics over the web quickly and easily, based on his experiences working on Nottinghamshire Healthcare's recently launched patient feedback website at http://feedback.nottinghamshirehealthcare.nhs.uk/

All of the technology used in the book and on the website is free, open source and represents a significant opportunity for public sector organisations to better understand and communicate their data within a simple and rapid programming framework. The book is available at: http://www.packtpub.com/web-application-development-with-r-using-shiny/book
