Each year, Nottinghamshire Healthcare recognises and rewards the hard work and acheivements of their staff. To do this, the Trust came up with their own annual awards programme, the Outstanding Service Contribution And Recognition Scheme - or OSCARS, for short. This year the IMH has nominees in two of the nine award categories.
The OSCARS is now in its eleventh year. Each year, nominations are invited from people both inside and outside the Trust - and the whole process comes to a climax at the awards night, when the winners in each of the categories are announced.
Representatives from the Institute of Mental Health are up for two awards at the Nottinghamshire Healthcare OSCARS. Senior evaluation manager Dr Chris Beeley has been shortlisted for 'Innovator of the Year' while the IMH Peer Support Team has been shortlisted in the 'Team of the Year (non-clinical)' category. In addition, Dr Sudheer Lankappa, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Queen's Medical Centre, who has been a leading light for the regional centre of the NIHR Mental Health Research Network (MHRN) in encouraging research activity within the Trust, has been shortlisted for the Unsung Clinical Hero of the Year award.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place on 13 March 2014 at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel. Best of luck Chris, Sudheer and the PST team!
