DESCRIPTION:\nThe Institute of Mental Health launches the new CPD accredite
 d training programme for Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PP
 IE). This programme has been designed to increase knowledge of active rese
 archers and colleagues in health and care research and provide time for yo
 u to engage and build your collective confidence in a shared learning spac
 e.\nPatient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) has exploded with
 in research conversations over the last decade and now funders\, research 
 leads\, institutions and patient groups expect to see genuine\, well thoug
 ht out Patient and Public Involvement within health and care research. Thi
 s programme has been designed to help you consider and embed quality PPIE 
 within your systems so you can incorporate living experiences\, peer resea
 rchers and patient and public contributors to improve relevance\, acceptab
 ility and accessibility of your health and care research.\n \nWho is the c
 ourse for?\nThis programme is aimed at anyone who feels they need to begin
  or enhance their Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) kno
 wledge and are looking for detailed learning development in this area of t
 heir work.\nThe programme considers the experience of PPIE from the perspe
 ctive of researchers delivering what is asked of them from initial underst
 anding through to exploring detailed scenarios and working with compassion
  and understanding in their work.\nIf you’re not sure if this course is fo
 r you then we’d love to hear from you and we can talk about some of the co
 ntent\, feasibility for your own context and look at alternative options f
 or your progress in this area.\n \nInformation about the course:\n\nOur tr
 aining programme consists of five online 2-hour sessions over a 5-week per
 iod with topic specific sessions each week.\nThe programme has a strong fo
 cus on practical learning outcomes\, peer connections and opportunities to
  engage with the content of the programme in the context of your own work.
 \nEach programme cohort will have a maximum occupancy of 12 participants t
 o allow for learning and networking with others throughout the programme\n
 One session within the programme will be dedicated to smaller group learni
 ng and exploration of your own work and your own ambitions for PPIE.\nThe 
 programme is costed at £250 per participant and includes 10 hours live lea
 rning\, post session self-guided learning and an end of programme handbook
 .\nThis programme is equivalent to 10 live learning CPD hours as a minimum
  for your own professional development.\nThe programme is delivered online
  by the Institute of Mental Health using Microsoft Teams\n\nThe programme 
 sessions are delivered live on the following dates:\n\n\nSession 1: Wednes
 day 20th November\nSession 2: Wednesday 27th November\nSession 3: Wednesda
 y 4th December\nSession 4: Wednesday 11th December or Friday 13th December
 This session will be delivered as a collaborative\, smaller group session 
 to allow for time and space for training participants to develop in their 
 own subject and topics. As this will involve smaller groups\, we will spli
 t the participant group over 3 smaller group sessions. We will confirm whi
 ch date / session to the participants on confirmation of your place on the
  training.\nSession 5: Wednesday 18th December\n\n\n \nHow to secure your 
 place:\nWe have now provisionally filled all spaces for the November cohor
 t of this training programme. However\, we are operating a waitlist for pl
 aces which will be reviewed once all provisional place deadlines expire an
 d places and payments are accepted or paused.\nWe will consult anyone on o
