DESCRIPTION:\nThe Institute of Mental Health launches the new CPD accredite
 d training programme for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI). This progra
 mme has been designed to increase knowledge of active researchers and coll
 eagues in health and care research and provide time for you to engage and 
 build your collective confidence in a shared learning space.\nPatient and 
 Public Involvement (PPI) has exploded within research conversations over t
 he last decade and now funders\, research leads\, institutions and patient
  groups expect to see genuine\, well thought out Patient and Public Involv
 ement within health and care research. This programme has been designed to
  help you consider and embed quality PPI within your systems so you can in
 corporate living experiences\, peer researchers and patient and public con
 tributors to improve relevance\, acceptability and accessibility of your h
 ealth and care research.\nWho is the course for?\nThis programme is aimed 
 at anyone who feels they need to begin or develop their early Patient and 
 Public Involvement (PPI) knowledge and are looking for detailed learning &
  development in this area of their work.\nThe programme considers the expe
 rience of PPI from the perspective of researchers delivering what is asked
  of them. From initial understanding through to exploring detailed scenari
 os and working with compassion and understanding in their work.\nIf you’re
  not sure if this course is for you then we’d love to hear from you and we
  can talk about some of the content\, feasibility for your own context and
  look at alternative options for your progress in this area.\n \nInformati
 on about the course:\n\nOur training programme consists of five online 2-h
 our sessions over a 5-week period with topic specific sessions each week.
 \nThe programme has a strong focus on practical learning outcomes\, peer c
 onnections and opportunities to engage with the content of the programme i
 n the context of your own work.\nEach programme cohort will have a maximum
  occupancy of 12 participants to allow for learning and networking with ot
 hers throughout the programme\nOne session within the programme will be de
 dicated to smaller group learning and exploration of your own work and you
 r own ambitions for PPIE.\nThe programme is costed at £250 per participant
  and includes 10 hours live learning\, post session self-guided learning a
 nd an end of programme handbook.\nThis programme is equivalent to 10 live 
 learning CPD hours as a minimum for your own professional development.\nTh
 e programme is delivered online by the Institute of Mental Health using Mi
 crosoft Teams\n\nThe programme sessions are delivered live on the followin
 g dates:\n\nSession 1: Wednesday 5th March\nSession 2: Wednesday 12th Marc
 h\nSession 3: Wednesday 19th March\nSession 4: Wednesday 26th March or Fri
 day 28th MarchThis session will be delivered as a collaborative\, smaller 
 group session to allow for time and space for training participants to dev
 elop in their own subject and topics. As this will involve smaller groups\
 , we will split the participant group over 3 smaller group sessions. We wi
 ll confirm which date / session to the participants on confirmation of you
