A new series of workshops have been launched at the institute exploring the ways in which re-visiting, re-telling and re-writing our stories together, can be instrumental in finding strategies for living with trauma and anxieties.

Supported by the institute, poet Anne Holloway (Big White Shed) will lead participants through a series of three workshops:

Tuesday 25th September - 6.30pm – 9.30pm, The Institute of Mental Health

Tuesday 2nd October - 6.30pm – 9.30pm, The Institute of Mental Health

Tuesday 9th October - 6.30pm – 9.30pm, The Institute of Mental Health

The first introductory session will be open to all, and the group will use poetry and other forms of creative writing to explore individual memories and stories through writing and sharing.

The second and third sessions will be limited to 12 participants who attended the first session. These workshops will be suitable for people who feel they would like to engage with a more in-depth journey through writing and storytelling.

No former writing experience is necessary.

The workshops are free and will be held at the Institute of Mental Health, if you would like to attend please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to register your details.
