The Institute runs a number of awards, recognising excellence and innovation in research and education.

The Institute runs an annual essay prize named after psychiatrist Duncan Macmillan who helped pioneer a community-centred approach to mental health. The competition is held in partnership with The Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The Institute runs arts exhibitions throughout the year with an annual prize made to the outstanding artist.

The Institute hosts an Annual Research Day for early career researchers. As part of this event, prizes are awarded for papers, presentations and posters. Entries are being accepted now - closing date 31 March 2018.

Managed Innovation Networks (MINs) are developed based on small grants to develop smaller scale research projects. For more details on MINs please see our Research section.
