MindTech has built a network to undertake a James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership to identify current unanswered research questions about the use of digital technologies for mental health problems, and then prioritise those questions which people with lived experience and health and social care professionals agree are the most important. 

The James Lind Alliance (JLA) is a non-profit making initiative which brings patients, carers and clinicians together in Priority Setting Partnerships (PSPs). These partnerships identify and prioritise ‘unanswered questions’, about the effects of treatments and health conditions that they agree are the most important. The aim of this is to help ensure that those who fund health research are aware of what really matters to both patients and clinicians.

Aims:

• To influence the practice of research into digital technology for mental health, ensuring that future research is focused on those questions prioritised by service users, carers and clinicians.
• To engage with policy makers, research funders, and clinically-relevant research groups to ensure future research addresses the priorities for digital technology for mental health agreed by service users, carers and clinicians through the JLA process.
