Dr Jen Yates is an Associate Professor in Mental Health and her work focuses on ageing, living with dementia, and health services research.

After receiving a MSc in Bioengineering (SupAgro, 2007) and a MRes in Biomedical Research (Imperial College, 2007), Mattéa completed her DPhil in neurosciences at the University of Oxford (2010) in Prof Dame Kay Davies' group.

Former Director of the Centre for Dementia between 2012 and 2023.

Dr Emma Broome is a Research Fellow in Hearing Sciences at the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre.

Michael Craven, PhD, is Principal Research Fellow and Technology Theme lead at the NIHR MindTech MedTech Co-operative which is co-located with the Centre for Dementia in the Institute of Mental Health.

Dr Ayokunmi Ojebode, an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, adopts an ethnographic approach for qualitative analyses of interviews with caregivers and people with dementia within the UK’s ethnic communities, focusing on art-based and psychosocial interventions for community transformation.

Becky is a researcher, musician and music therapist with a particular interest in working with people with dementia and their care partners.

Neil's research focus is geriatric public health: person-centred care tailored to individual needs, diversity and ethnicity, tackling ageism and dementia stigma.

Lesley is an occupational therapist with 20 years of experience working primarily with community-dwelling older adults in an underserved population in Trinidad and Tobago.

Kyle Harrington is a Research Fellow within the MindTech team with interests in technology and human-computer interaction, with a background in Psychology, Human Factors and Computer Science.

I have joined the University of Nottingham as a Principal Research Fellow. My research seeks to understand and support social inclusion and quality of life in people with dementia.

I am an Associate Professor of Discourse Analysis based in the School of English, Faculty of Arts.

Dr Katy Jones is an Assistant Professor of Applied Psychology in the Academic Unit of Mental Health and Clinical Neurosciences (School of Medicine) and Institute of Mental Health.

Marcus studied biology and computer science and is now Professor of Neuroinformatics within the Precision Imaging Beacon in the School of Medicine.

Dr Helen Miranda Knight has worked in world-class labs studying the processes of memory and cognition and the genetics and genomics of human neuropsychiatric disorders.

Ghazal Mazloumi is a Project Development Worker for Trent Dementia charity at the Institute of Mental Health in Nottingham.

Orii McDermott, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Mental Health and a visiting researcher for the Doctoral Programme in Music Therapy, Aalborg University.

Dr Linda O’Raw has a broad spectrum of research and consultancy expertise in the field of neuroscience and psychology.

Professor Martin Orrell is a leading figure in old age psychiatry and dementia research, with an international reputation for advancing evidence-based mental health care for older people. He is Director of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), a partnership between the University of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. He also serves as Honorary Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist with the Rapid Response Liaison Team at Queen’s Medical Centre.

Emma Putland is a doctoral researcher based at the Centre for Dementia and the School of English.

Dr Rajamani has a broad spectrum of clinical and research expertise on Psychiatry, epidemiology, biostatistics, molecular genetics, RNA biology, and relevant bioinformatics.

Esther is a PhD student at the Institute, originally from the Netherlands, moving to Nottingham in 2019.

Tom graduated from Loughborough University in 2017, with a BSc degree in Human Biology.

Abigail is a PhD student at the Institute, with an MSc in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Nottingham.

Dr Akram Hosseini is Consultant Neurologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, and holds the MRC/NIHR Clinical Academic Research Partnership award with the Nottingham Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.
