This network provided a multi-disciplinary and creative platform to raise awareness, and new knowledge, on issues surrounding trauma. One of the outcomes from this project was an exhibition called by artist Andy Farr at the Institute of Mental Health, launched in summer 2018.

Andy, a member of the network, conducted a series of interviews with front line practitioners, clinicians, researchers and people that have experienced severe distress, with the view to adress both historical and contemporary accounts of trauma. Andy worked with individual accounts of trauma to create 12 moving and thought-provoking depictions of what it is like to suffer and recover from mental health challenges. 

Network members and organisations included: Nottingham City Council's Edge of Care team, Nottingham Playhouse, City Arts, Centre for Trauma Resiliance and Growth, UK trauma network and the Birth Trauma Association amongst others.

• To reflect and gain new insights on trauma studies and the therapeutic role of the arts.
