Save the Date: Refocus on Recovery 2027

Refocus on Recovery LogoRefocus on Recovery will be returning to Nottingham on 9th and 10th September 2027, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in central Nottingham, which has step-free access to the conference hall.

 

Our 2027 conference will be a partnership between the Recovery Research Team, Imroc, Habitus Collective, and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (through the Institute of Mental Health). 

Our conference themes for 2027 are:

  • Theme 1 – Lived experience leadership
  • Theme 2 – Recovery and community
  • Theme 3 – Recovery and services
  • Theme 4 – Recovery beyond mental health

 

As for 2023 and 2025, there will be no parallel presentations. Our successful 2025 “lighting talks” innovation will return, to maximise the range of voices that have a conference platform.

Yes, there are tickets available for online attendance only

Yes, each talk will recorded on the day, and videos of each session will be available to watch back approx. 1 month after the event ends.

The scientific advisory board will decide which abstracts are given a platform at the conference, and allocate full (20 minute) and lightning (1 minute) presentation slots. At most 12 abstracts can be accepted for full presentations, and we always receive a much larger number of high quality abstracts. Therefore, in their selection of who to provide a platform to, the scientific advisory board will seek to strike a balance between lived experience perspectives and empirical research studies, seeking to enable contributions from a diverse range of delegates, and prioritising voices that are less frequently heard at the conference.
