This year's theme is “Thinking Differently: Neurodiversity in Forensic Mental Health”

Hosted jointly by the Forensic Services Care Group, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and the Institute of Mental Health (a partnership between the Trust and the University of Nottingham).

Trent Study Day is a well-established annual conference bringing together leading experts to explore emerging ideas and developments in forensic mental health. It is aimed at a multi-professional audience and brings together a number of experts, researchers and practitioners to share knowledge and understanding around a topic related to forensic mental health. 

The event will also showcase research and innovation, with opportunities to present research posters relating to mental health, forensic services, and secure care. The TSD also provides an opportunity for researchers and practioners to exhibit research posters on any topic related to mental health and/or forensic issues (this is not limited to the years main TSD theme).

Call for poster abstracts

The call for poster abstracts is open. Closing date 13 November

Poster abstract details:

• We encourage you to send in your abstracts early!
• Abstract decisions will be sent to you after the closing date in November
• Abstracts will be accepted as long as they are relevant to mental health, so they do no have to strictly be around the conference theme
• There will be a prize for the best poster - attendee will be invited to vote on the day
