Postgraduate researchers from our Centre for ADHD and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Across the Lifespan (CANDAL) have been recognised for their outstanding achievements.

The Tri-Campus Awards, hosted by the University of Nottingham's Researcher Academy, recognise the achievements of postgraduate researchers, and this year also celebrates outstanding postdoctoral researchers, research staff and research supervisors across all faculties.

Congratulations to Blandine French, who won the Policy Impact Emerging Star Award for her PhD around ADHD referrals in primary care. Blandine researched and developed a psycho-education tool for GPs, to improve their understanding of the condition and improve access to appropriate services. The tool has now been adopted by the GP education comapny Fourteenfish, and accredited by the Royal College of GPs, which is a fantastic achievement - well done Blandine.

Bahar Tuncgenc has been awarded the Covid-19 Impact Award for her research around social distancing rules during the pandemic. Working with a team of researchers across the globe, Bahar has been invited to advise the UK Government Cabinet Office’s International Best Practice Advisory Group , feeding directly to SAGE, on improving citizens’ trust in government. She has also provided expert opinion to the House of Lords Covid-19 Committee's "Inquiry on Life Beyond COVID-19" and to many media outlets, including El Pais and EU Politico. Congratulations Bahar.

And finally, a special mention to the NIHR MindTech team who were 'Highly Commended' in the Award for Most Supportive / Inclusive Research Team Environment 2021. Well done team!
