Esther is a PhD student at the Institute, originally from the Netherlands, moving to Nottingham in 2019.

Esther's background is in Public Health, and her PhD project is looking at online peer support for people with Young Onset Dementia. Esther values the involvement of people living with dmentia in her research, which is part of a Marie-Curie Innovative Training Network called DISTINCT. This network is funded by the European Commission and includes 14 other PhD students across different universities in Europe, all working on dementia and technology.
