Priya completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham School of Psychology.

She is passionate about improving mental health treatment and support for all, with a particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders.

Priya is currently a Research Assistant on the Alpha-Stim-D Trial, which is investigating the clinical and cost effectiveness of the Alpha-Stim-AID device (a medical device that provides cranial electrotherapy stimulations) in treating depression. She is also involved in supporting other mental health research within the Institute, such as the Far Away from Home study.
