*The study is now closed to new participants*

BRIGhTMIND offers people the chance to try a new treatment for depression. It could be for you if you are:

  • 18 or over.
  • Treatment resistant depression for examples someone for whom at least 2 treatments you’ve tried haven’t worked, which means you have treatment resistant depression.
  • Happy to take part in treatment involving an MRI scan and 20 sessions of TMS.

If you are eligible and wish to take part in the study, no changes will be made to your current medication or treatment and this will not affect the standard of care you receive from your usual doctors and nurses.

The BRIGhTMIND team understand how difficult it is to live with depression and will offer anyone who takes part a warm welcome, care and support. The BRIGhTMIND programme also  involves people with lived experience of depression (now or in the past) in a Lived Experience Advisory Panel. This group of people helps the research team to plan the programme, talk about it (writing things like this web content) and make sense of the results of the BRIGhTMIND research.

“We are passionate about being involved in something that has the potential to benefit people’s lives. We endeavour to treat everyone as an individual and guide you through the research process”. Research Team
