Minor stroke

• Although there is no one definition for minor stroke, we often describe someone to have had minor stroke if they experienced mild symptoms and minimal or no prolonged impairment to cognition.

Cognition

• Process by which a person gains knowledge and understanding, it includes memory, learning, awareness, judgment, language, attention, imagining and problem solving.

Public and Patient Involvement (PPI)

• Approach that involves inviting people affected by a specific condition as ‘experts by experience’ to work with researchers and clinicians to conduct high quality, relevant research.
