Mild cognitive impairment, or MCI, is a condition where people experience memory and thinking problems. There is a need for treatment to help address and treat these difficulties to improve quality of life.

We have developed a new ‘brain training’ treatment to help people with MCI, who have problems with thinking skills.

The current study aims to test whether this training (known as the SMART programme) is acceptable to people with MCI. We will also assess whether we can do a larger study to test whether SMART improves thinking skills in people with MCI.
