I am a member of the public that has been volunteering at the Institute of Mental Health for about 10 years, mainly as a member of a research teams.

I am looking forward to taking part in the PPI group. Providing help and support to all members and be willing to accept help and support myself. I was an analogue electronics and instrumentation engineer, but I have a rudimentary understanding of computing and artificial intelligence.

I have problems with depression and anxiety which started in my childhood (I am 69 years old). Due to my sense of humour, at times I refer to myself as ‘a state registered nutcase’.
