Bridging Research and Practice: The Role of Cultural Humility in Community-Led Mental Health Partnerships

In this session, Dr. Niquita Pilgrim will examine how cultural humility can bridge the gap between research and practice in mental health services. The focus will be on the role of community-led partnerships in developing culturally informed, person-centred care. Niquita will offer insights for researchers and practitioners into how reflective, inclusive approaches can positively influence mental health outcomes, particularly for marginalised communities. The discussion will explore how community-based research can drive meaningful change in practice, connecting theory with practical application to improve care.
