Two of the accredited VOICE training courses will be held at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, in Spring 2019. This training course introduces key evidence about effective communication for registered health care professionals who regularly work with people with dementia in an acute hospital setting.


Shortlisted in the "Best Training Initiative" in this year's Dementia Care Awards, these two courses aim to improve healthcare professional’s dementia confidence, communication knowledge and to change communication behaviours.

Places are open to registered nurses, allied health professionals and medics who work directly with this patient group in the acute hospital.

Venue: Trent Simulation Centre; Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham

Cost £375 for the two days (includes lunch and refreshments)

Course 1: Friday 22nd March 2019 and Friday 26th April 2019

Course 2: Thursday 25th April 2019 and Thursday 23rd May 2019.

The two days of the course are one month apart to allow practice of the communication skills in clinical settings. For more details about the training please dowload the programme below.
